Our longest 9-day schedule for Elbrus climb from the south greatly repeats the\u00a07-day schedule of Elbrus climb from the south,<\/u>\u00a0being designed for those who climb mountains for sheer pleasure and not for overcoming oneself and challenges.<\/p>\n

This schedule offers longer acclimatization on the valley and on the mountain (one extra day for each). You will summit the mountain on the seventh day of the schedule which guarantees a pretty good and unhasty acclimatization, making your chances of successful Elbrus summiting even stronger.<\/p>\n

This schedule of a\u00a0Mount Elbrus climb\u00a0is the least challenging and a most rewarding for your body. It is a perfect option for those who are more after enjoying the nature and landscape than challenging oneself. This is arguably the most moderate schedule for climbing Elbrus. The comfort of hotel and refuge will make your trip twice as agreeable.<\/p>\n

9-day Schedule for an Elbrus Climb from the South.<\/h2>\n

Day 1.<\/strong>Arrival at MRV airport. Departure from the airport at 12: 00-12: 15 pm for all arrivals on flights before 11:30 pm. Departure from the airport at 15: 15-15: 30 pm for all arrivals before 14:45 pm. Moving 200 km (3 hours) transfer to the hotel. The hotel of the system is at the beginning of the hundred-kilometer valley of the Baksan River, almost on the very slope of Elbrus. Gathering for dinner.
\nDay 2.<\/strong> Acclimatization hike to Cheget. Descent on foot to the hotel.
\nDay 3.<\/strong> Acclimatization hike to Maid\u2019s Braids waterfall (at 2700m) and further on, to the observatory (at 3100m).
\nDay 4.<\/strong>\u00a0Taking a lift to the refuge and setting up there. After a snack, making an acclimatization hike to an elevation of 4400m, till the end of the ridge. Overnight stay in the huts.
\nDay 5.<\/strong>\u00a0An acclimatization hike to Pastukhov\u2019s Rocks (at 4700m).
\nDay 6.<\/strong>\u00a0Rest day. Final preparations for summiting Elbrus.
\nDay 7.<\/strong>\u00a0Summiting Mt. Elbrus (5642m), with an early start (at 2\u20134 AM) and possible use of a Snowcat. The proportion of guides and clients is strictly 1:3.
\nDay 8.<\/strong>\u00a0Reserve day. Descent to the hotel.
\nDay 9.<\/strong>\u00a0Transfer to the airport at 7 AM (plan your flight with this in mind!). Probably there will be some time for a walk in Pyatigorsk after you reach the airport and leave your luggage there. On your own, you can visit also the well-known Russian poet Lermontov\u2019s duel site.<\/p>\n
