It consists of climbing to both summits on one side of the mountain and descending on the opposite side. This is one of the most famous routes, which allows you to test your abilities before attempting higher peaks.<\/p>\n<p>The &#171;cross&#187; of Elbrus can be climbed from north to south (more difficult) or from south to north. It is also possible to climb to the east summit of Elbrus and descend from there by three different routes &#8212; the Motorcycle Col (a Land Rover that was taken up there in 1997 is still there), along the rock of Elbrus Saddle (the western slope of the east summit of Elbrus) or on the south side (the easiest route).<\/p>\n<p>We can recommend climbing the &#171;cross&#187; of Elbrus as a training program for climbing as a training program for climbing Lenin Peak, Korjenevskoj Peak, Khan-Tengry, Island Peak, Mera Peak, Aconcagua and Ojos del Salado. Transfer to Emmanuel Glade.<br \/>\n<strong>Day 2.<\/strong>\u00a0Acclimatisation hike with equipment to the refuge at 3700m, followed by descent. Overnight in tents or huts on the Emanuel Glade.<br \/>\n<strong>Day 3. <\/strong>Walk to the refuge.<br \/>\n<strong>Day 4.<\/strong> Acclimatisation hike to Lents Rocks (4700m). Overnight stay at the refuge (3700m).<br \/>\n<strong>Day 5.<\/strong> Rest day. Preparations for the summit. Overnight stay at the refuge (3700m).<br \/>\n<strong>Day 6.<\/strong> Climbing Elbrus, starting at 2 or 4 am, depending on the guide. Climbing Elbrus takes 6 to 10 hours. You do not need to carry the extra equipment &#8212; the porter will take it from the camp to 3700 metres and deliver it to the springs of J\u00f5lysu, from where your luggage will be delivered to your hotel in Mineralnye Vody.<br \/>\n<strong>Day 7. <\/strong>Reserved in case of bad weather.<br \/>\n<strong>Day 8. <\/strong>Descent and transfer to Mineralnye Vody. Hotel check-in, walk.<br \/>\n<strong>Day 9.\u00a0<\/strong>Transfer to Mineralnye Vody airport.<\/p>\n<h2>Included in the cost of climbing the &#171;Elbrus Cross&#187;.<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Hotel with accommodation in double and triple rooms. Length of stay depends on:<\/li>\n<li>Accommodation in refuges. Length of stay according to the itinerary.All transfers mentioned in the itinerary.<\/li>\n<li>Meals three times a day throughout the tour. Dinner on the first day, breakfast on the last day.All required permits and registrations.<\/li>\n<li>Guides: one lead guide for the South to North Elbrus program and several assistants for the day of the summit, with a strict ratio of one guide to three climbers. This means that if there are four clients in a group, there will be two guides for them.
