Day 1–3. International flight
We depart for Port Moresby, the capital of Papua New Guinea. Upon arrival, we transfer to a domestic flight that takes us to Mount Hagen. After arrival, there is a transfer to the first mountain hotel, located just 45 minutes from the airport, in a quiet and picturesque area surrounded by green hills. Here we will rest after the long journey and prepare for the first ascent. Overnight at the hotel (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).
Day 4. Acclimatization on Mount Hagen (3,834 m)
Today we begin our adventure with acclimatization on Mount Hagen. We will hike for about 5–6 hours through dense tropical forest. Along the way, we will enjoy views of exotic orchids, plants, and bright birds, among which birds of paradise are frequently seen. The summit of the mountain, offering breathtaking views of Mount Giluwe and Mount Wilhelm, will be a well-earned reward for our efforts. We return to the hotel to recover before the following days. Overnight at the hotel (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).
Day 5. Transfer to Mailka village and trek across alpine meadows
Today we board 4WD vehicles and drive to the village of Mailka, located about 1.5 hours away. Here we will meet porters who will help carry the equipment. We set off on a trek through the forest and then emerge onto alpine meadows. In this region, among countless lakes and wetlands, it is possible to encounter rare animal species, including birds of paradise and even unusual tree kangaroos. We will hike for 7–9 hours through scenic and wild landscapes before setting up camp for the night. Overnight in tents (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).
Day 6. Ascent of Mount Giluwe (4,368 m)
A very early start! We will ascend Mount Giluwe, reaching the summit at sunrise. At 5:00 a.m. we begin the climb, and by 8:00 a.m. we reach the summit. From the top, stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys open up. After descending back to base camp and having breakfast, we head out to return to the road and drive back to the hotel (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).
Day 7. Transfer to Mount Wilhelm and cultural visit
Today we have a 3–4 hour drive along winding mountain roads to the foot of Mount Wilhelm, where we will stop for a cultural visit. Here we will get acquainted with local traditions and culture. Overnight at the hotel (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).
Day 8. Trek to Mount Wilhelm Base Camp (3,575 m)
We leave the village and begin the ascent to base camp at an altitude of 3,575 m. The route passes through forest along a fairly good trail that gradually leads us higher into the mountains. Overnight in camp (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).
Day 9. Ascent of Mount Wilhelm summit (4,509 m)
Today is our main day! We set out to climb Mount Wilhelm, 4,509 m high — the highest point in Papua New Guinea. We depart before dawn to reach the summit before clouds begin to obscure the panorama. The summit offers not only incredible views but also a stone pyramid and a geodetic marker. From the top, there are magnificent views of the northern coast and the islands of Bagabag and Karkar. After descending, we return to base camp and then to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).
Day 10. Reserve day for the ascent or cultural visit
This day is reserved in case of unforeseen circumstances or bad weather. If the ascent has been successful, we will devote the day to cultural visits to local villages and getting to know the traditions of the tribes. Overnight at the hotel (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).

Day 13. International flight home or trip extension
