Over these three days, we will try to reveal for you the “non-mountain” Nepal — to see, hear, and truly feel this country! We will visit sacred places for Hindus and Buddhists, meet monks and sadhus, walk through royal palaces, see ancient cities through which the Silk Road once passed, and get acquainted with the life of modern Nepalese people.

Nepal is not only about snow-covered peaks; it is the birthplace of Buddha, the spiritual capital of the world, and a country of hundreds of Buddhist temples and monasteries. This tour is for those who want to get acquainted with one of the world’s most ancient cultures, preserved to this day in its original form. Our program includes three of the brightest cities of Nepal: the most unique city in the world — Kathmandu, the magnificent Bhaktapur, and Lalitpur with its “postcard-perfect” panoramas.

*We recommend combining this program with our trekking tours in the Himalayas:

Everest Base Camp Trek in one week

Day 1. Fall in love with Kathmandu in one day!

Kathmandu is like a layered cake, combining different cultures without mixing them, while preserving the uniqueness of each. We will start the morning with a walk through colorful Thamel — the liveliest district of the city, where souvenir shops, cashmere stores, high-altitude equipment outlets, and Nepali jewelry shops can be found on every corner. Through narrow streets, we will head to the vibrant Asan Market, where you can buy Himalayan salt, spices, ceramics, or try on a bright sari. Then we will immerse ourselves in history at Durbar Square, where architectural monuments connected to Nepal’s royal era have been preserved. We will visit a Shiva temple, admire the sculpture of Black Bhairava, and look into the palace where the living goddess Kumari resides — a chosen girl from the jeweler caste. After that, we will head to the Swayambhunath Stupa, where we will learn the secrets of good karma and try to find the entrance to the mythical Shambhala. We will end the day at the majestic Boudhanath Stupa, the largest in Nepal, where we will discover Tibetan culture and experience the sound of singing bowls. At sunset, we will visit a Shiva temple on the banks of the sacred Bagmati River, witness a cremation ceremony at Pashupatinath, and touch ancient rituals.

Day 2. Lalitpur — the most “postcard-perfect” city of Nepal.

The morning will begin with a trip to ancient Lalitpur, one of the three historic cities of Nepal. Its architectural heritage and culture are recognized by UNESCO, and every street here looks like a postcard scene. Together with a guide, we will explore Durbar Square, elegant temples, and workshops of local artisans. We will get acquainted with the traditions and art of the Newari people, immersing ourselves in the atmosphere of this remarkable city.

Day 3. Bhaktapur — a living open-air museum.

After breakfast, we will head to Bhaktapur, a city where time seems to have stopped. Its narrow streets lead to well-preserved temples and palaces from the Malla era. We will explore Durbar Square with its masterpieces of wood carving, including the Palace of 55 Windows and the Vatsala and Nyatapola temples — the tallest pagoda-style temple in Nepal. We will end the day by tasting traditional lassi, prepared according to ancient recipes and served in clay cups, to fully experience the flavor of local traditions.
