Uganda was described by Winston Churchill as the “Pearl of Africa”, and with good reason. Rich in volcanic mountains, valleys and lakes, rich in wildlife and a green cosmopolitan capital, all in a very small country. Despite a difficult political past, the spirit of the people and natural wealth have allowed Uganda to rise above, offering you and me a safe and rewarding direction.
We will go on an adventure through rainforests, alpine valleys and glacial landscapes in the remote Rwenzori Mountains (“Mountains of the Moon”). After the track, you can optionally enjoy a safari in the Queen Elizabeth National Park, where elephants, lions, leopards, hippos and many others live; Watch rhinos in the wild while walking through the Ziva Rhino Sanctuary; and view the majestic African wilderness on a cruise to the foot of the Murchison Falls, where the River Nile flows through a narrow gorge and spectacularly flows around the wall of the Rift Valley.
