Manaslu Peak is the eighth highest mountain in the world, reaching 8163 meters. We will climb Manaslu along its northeastern wall along the angular snow slopes before exiting onto a steep snow ridge, along which we will reach the very top, from where a magnificent view of the Himalayas opens. This is a stunning and majestic peak, which is an ideal expedition for those who want to climb 8000 meters or are preparing for Everest. *Please note that our company does not work in the field of buying, selling air tickets and issuing visa permits, therefore it is not responsible in case of force majeure related to flights and crossing borders

About the tour

If you are planning your first eight-thousandth, then Manaslu is the most preferable option. We fly by helicopter to the village at the foot of the mountain, where we enjoy day hikes to acclimatize before going up to the base camp to start climbing. We will climb the northeast wall using four camps along the way. The ascent will take place on snowy slopes at a moderate angle, and only on the way to the fourth camp we will use fixed ropes to overcome a number of short convex ice formations to get to the flat saddle and camp. Summit Day is the cherry on the cake for any climber – we will climb the snowy slope to the plateau, overcome a steep snow ridge, and finally find ourselves on a peak soaring above the clouds with grandiose views around!

Climb Manaslu

Day 1. The journey begins in the ancient and colorful city of Kathmandu. Our representative will meet you at the airport. You will stay in a comfortable, simple, clean hotel and taste delicious Nepali, Tibetan and Western cuisine. If you have free time in Kathmandu, you will have the chance to explore the magnificent 17th century Monkey Temple, Durbar Square and the old royal Palace, as well as the ancient city of Patan. In the evening, meeting with the head of the expedition, guides and other participants of the ascent. Briefing and briefing before the start of the expedition and dinner with all its participants. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2. Transfer from Kathmandu to Jagat (Jagat, 1350 m) Today we will go on our long journey in jeeps! Along the way, views of picturesque rice terraces and exotic papayas await us.
Day 3. Transfer from Jagat to Deng (1880 m), 7-8 hours Today we will leave the village of Jagat and follow the path that first descends and then ascends the gorge. Then we will descend and walk along the river to the village of Deng.
Day 4. Transfer from Deng to Namrung (2630 m), 5-6 hours Today we will have a busy day with exotic views: we will walk through the jungle, leaving behind the rice plantations. If we’re lucky, we’ll see wild langur monkeys. Crossing the picturesque suspension bridge and taking photos against the backdrop of waterfalls will make this day unforgettable. We will go out to Namrung village, where we will have stunning views of the Himalayan range.
Day 5. Transfer from Namrung village to Samagaon village (3560 m) via Lho village (3150 m). Today will be one of the most spectacular days on the route. Majestic views of the Himalayan seven thousand meters will open up before us. In the village of Lo, we will be able to take amazing pictures of Manaslu. If desired, you can visit a Buddhist monastery and enjoy the sunset and sunrise with stunning views. Don’t forget your cameras! After Lo, we will walk through a forest path surrounded by fir trees and rhododendrons and reach the Tibetan settlement of Shyala. From there, we will walk along a wide valley along the river with views of the alpine landscapes, and reach the village of Samagaon, where we will spend the night.
Day 6. Today we will be trekking to Manaslu base camp at an altitude of 4700 meters. Overnight in tents.
Day 7-8. We are setting up a base camp, acclimating to a new altitude and preparing for the ascent.
Day 9-17. Installation of high-altitude camps and acclimatization exits. The route to the first camp will take you along grassy slopes, stone slabs and moraines, and then along a cracked glacier with small ice steps to the camp at an altitude of 5500 m. Even in peak season, there may be snow around the base camp and above. The views of the surrounding peaks will inspire us all along the way, moreover, we will be lucky enough to admire the Manaslu peak almost the entire route up to the fourth camp. The greatest technical difficulty is the section of the way to the second camp at an altitude of 6,250 meters, you will have to move along ropes fixed on a steep slope. There are also several vertical ice steps. Next, a relatively simple route to the third camp – acclimatized climbers can complete this stage in about 3-4 hours. From the third camp, we will have a rather strenuous climb to the fourth camp at an altitude of 7,450 meters, where we will have a well-deserved rest and the necessary rehydration, which will increase our chances of success.
Day 18-24. Climbing to the top and descending to the base camp. The ascent day will start well before dawn, and the ascent will take about 6-7 hours. The ascent is far from technical at its beginning – we will overcome several basins connected by short bridges. Having reached the false peak of Manaslu, we will overcome the open ridge that will lead us to the top of Manaslu! It offers an unforgettable view of the surrounding peaks. The expedition leader with impressive climbing experience, guides and our Sherpa team will do everything necessary to ensure that you reach the 8th highest peak in the world!
