About the tour

Do not go, children, to Africa for a walk… To be more precise, walking is a really bad idea, but going on safari in the most famous parks of Kenya is definitely worth it! Just imagine: to see the endless savannahs, the big five of Africa: lions, elephants, buffaloes, black rhinos and leopards, plunge into the life of African tribes, feel like a Hemingway of the 21st century, and then plunge into the waves of the Indian Ocean – this is the scenario of an unforgettable vacation! Safari in Kenya is an exciting adventure that provides an opportunity to observe wildlife and see some of the most famous animals in Africa. Kenya is famous for its national parks, which are home to a huge variety of wildlife species.

One of the most popular and famous national parks in Kenya is the Maasai Mara. It is located on the border with Tanzania and is part of the Serengeti ecosystem. The Maasai Mara is known for its huge herds of migrating animals such as zebras, gazelles and wildebeest. Elephants, giraffes, lions, leopards and other predators can also be seen here. In addition, during the Masai Mara safari, you will have a unique opportunity to observe thousands of birds. Sunset over the savannah will drive even the most unimpressionable guests crazy.

Another popular national park is Amboseli, located in southeastern Kenya at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. Here you can see herds of elephants, buffaloes, zebras and other animals, as well as enjoy spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Hence they are undoubtedly the best in the world. It is especially beautiful here during the rainy season, when snow falls on Kilimanjaro, and the lakes of the park are filled with water and thousands of pink flamingos. Naivashi National Park attracts many tourists with its variety of activities and attractions. One of the main features of the park is its lake, Lake Naivashi, where you can see a variety of birds, including pelicans, flamingos, eagles and even African eagles, and even see how they hunt fish. The park is also famous for its rich fauna. Unlike other parks, here you can walk next to animals (there are no predators), which are not so afraid of people, so a photo with a zebra or giraffe will be quite possible.

Kenya

Day 1. Arrival in Nairobi. Hakuna Matata! Welcome to Africa! Our representative will meet you at the airport. Check-in at the hotel. In the evening, a welcome dinner at the most famous restaurant in Africa – where you will have the opportunity to taste the meat of crocodile, ostrich and other African game. A short briefing from our guide and instructing the group, organizational issues and safety rules on safari. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2. Breakfast. Check out of the hotel. The day will be long, we recommend taking your favorite snacks. In powerful jeeps we will go to the border of Kenya and Tanzania, to the largest park in Africa – the Maasai Mara. This is the main tourist destination not only of Kenya, but also of the entire black continent. This park borders the Tanzanian Serengeti, which is part of the Maasai Mara. On the way we will plunge into the African flavor, buy ripe mangoes and watermelons. And the culmination of today is an evening safari! The best time to see the whole big five of Africa: the animals come out of their shelters, where they hid from the heat of the day. Accommodation in the loggia, dinner. Overnight in a comfortable loggia.

Day 3. We will spend the whole day in the Masai Mara National Park. Lions, leopards, hyenas live within their strictly limited territories, which they cross only in exceptional cases, for example, during a “change of power” in the pride, while ungulates constantly migrate — it is in the Maasai Mara that most films about the nature of Africa are shot. Early rising, even in the pre-dawn twilight, we go on a morning safari: wide savannah, hills, bizarrely winding rivers, endless herds of wildebeest and zebras, giraffe families, flocks of graceful antelopes, rare birds, of which there are more than 400 species in the park – ostriches, marabou, vultures and smaller birds. The morning hours are the most important for a bright safari – this is the time of maximum activity of predators. At this time, you can catch them hunting, playing with cubs, patrolling their territory, or lazily basking in the morning rays of the sun. Amazing shots are guaranteed to you!

Picnic on the Mara River, overlooking the savannah. After lunch we will go to the semi–nomadic indigenous people of Africa – the Masai tribe! These people have almost completely preserved their traditional way of life, despite the benefits that civilization can provide! Bright red bedspreads, beaded jewelry, manly scars, tall stature are indispensable attributes of a real masai! We will see the traditional dance with which the Maasai greet the mzungu (or white people, that is, us), dwellings, cattle pens, find out what this tribe eats, visit the school where children receive their first and only education, and learn the main secret of how the Maasai keep the fire going, because they absolutely do not use lighters or matches! After that, a mandatory item of the program is a visit to a small souvenir market, where we can pay tribute to the community by buying small crafts and jewelry made of beads, painted plates or animal figurines made of precious wood, and even ivory. Return to the loggias. Supper.

Day 4. After breakfast we will go to Lake Naivasha, whose name translates as “stormy river”, because this region is characterized by sudden storms. On the way we will pass a pass with a magnificent view of the Great Rift Valley, in this area there is a geological crack that stretches from the Dead Sea in Israel to Mozambique in the south-east of the black continent. As scientists say, in about 5 million years, this piece of Africa will break off and become an independent island. When we get to the lake, we will go on a water safari by boat, sail past funny snorting hippos, admire the water species of birds, land on the island, where the walking part of the tour will begin, we will walk through juicy green glades where families of zebras and giraffes graze serenely. Perhaps, it is here that the brightest evening of your vacation will be – an evening barbecue among the wild nature. And in the morning, just by opening the tent, you will be able to see flocks of zebras, very close in the rays of the rising sun! Accommodation: on the peninsula in comfortable tents.

Day 5. Early ascent, we say goodbye to the peninsula and go to the next Amboseli Park. We have quite a long journey ahead of us. If you describe Amboseli in two phrases – this is: the best view of Kilimanjaro from existing and of course huge herds of elephants! A unique park that combines plains and never–drying swamps, which herbivores like so much with juicy greenery, especially the largest land mammals – elephants, and many birds living in the neighborhood. We will make a frame-the hallmark of Kenya and, possibly, the whole of Africa – an elephant against the background of Kilimanjaro. It is from this park that the best view of the “Roof of Africa” opens — the snow-capped peak of Kilimanjaro, despite the fact that the mountain is located in Tanzania. Return to the loggias. Supper.

Day 6. Breakfast with a view of Amboseli. Morning safari, Kilimanjaro is illuminated by the first rays of the Sun, nocturnal animals are still finishing hunting, and daytime ones have already woken up. We are going to our fourth park — Tsavo. Here we will finally be able to get out of the car and visit a lava valley black to the horizon, look at the inhabitants of a wild river from under the water (if we’re lucky, even a hippo and a crocodile), climb a small mountain from where we can survey all the forests and savannas for many kilometers and even have a picnic there if the place will be free. In the evening we leave the park in the direction of Mombasa. You are waiting for three days of rest on many kilometers of snow-white beaches, azure waters of the Indian Ocean, fresh seafood cuisine.

Day 7-8. Vacation on the coast. In these places you can fly in a hot air balloon, go diving, snorkeling, and the famous fishing, which Hemingway himself fished. Or on a small boat to go on an excursion to the reefs and watch sharks, or maybe, after a busy safari, just lie on the beach with freshly squeezed juice from exotic fruits and admire the waves of the ocean. You can go to the nursery, where wounded turtles are nursed. They roam here all the way from the Galapagos Islands. The death penalty is provided for their catch in Kenya!

Day 9. Transfer to Mombasa Airport, departure.
