The route circles the world’s eighth-highest peak, Manaslu, offering breathtaking views of snow-covered summits, rivers, and picturesque valleys. The highlight of the trek is the crossing of Larkya La Pass at an altitude of 5,106 meters. While it is of moderate difficulty, with proper acclimatization and under the guidance of our experienced guides, participants usually have no problems completing the pass.

This trek also stands out among other destinations in Nepal for its rich cultural heritage. You will see ancient monasteries and prayer stupas, making every day of the trek a deep immersion into local culture. The route is classified as moderate in difficulty and requires good physical fitness, especially for the pass crossing. The best seasons for the Manaslu Circuit Trek are spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November).

Please note that for our clients we carefully select accommodation, so along the route you can expect the most comfortable lodges available. Day 1. Arrival in Kathmandu marks the first day of your Nepalese adventure, beginning with a meeting at the airport by our representative. You will be transferred to an atmospheric hotel in the very heart of Nepal’s capital, which feels like a quiet, secluded oasis amid the city’s vibrant and dynamic life. Kathmandu, as the capital of Nepal, attracts travelers with its unique culture and atmosphere, which you will feel from the very first moments. This day is dedicated to rest after a long flight and acclimatization to the new surroundings. You will have time to stroll through the narrow streets of Thamel, purchase any necessary items for the trek, and sample local cuisine. In the evening, you will meet your guide and attend a briefing about the upcoming route. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2. Early in the morning, a long but scenic jeep journey begins from Kathmandu to Machha Khola. As you move away from the capital, the landscape gradually changes: rice terraces, river valleys, and winding mountain roads. The route passes through numerous villages where life follows ancient traditions. This day can be physically tiring due to the long drive, but the views of the Himalayas and the opportunity to observe rural life in Nepal make it unforgettable. Travel time is approximately 7–8 hours with necessary stops. Overnight in a lodge.

Day 3. Your first day of trekking follows narrow trails crossing river valleys and bamboo groves. The path rises and descends at times, offering varied views of the Budhi Gandaki Valley. This day is especially rich in suspension bridges spanning roaring mountain streams and waterfalls plunging into deep gorges. Gradually, you ascend into higher-altitude areas where Tibetan cultural influences become visible in local architecture and lifestyle. Trekking duration is about 6–7 hours. Overnight in a lodge.

Day 4. Today’s trek leads to Philim, one of the largest villages on the route, inhabited mainly by people of Tibetan origin. As you progress along the trail, the landscapes become more rugged: rocky cliffs alternate with dense forests, while the Budhi Gandaki River remains your constant companion. Along the way, you will see numerous waterfalls and steep rock faces. Philim is a charming village with Tibetan monasteries and historic buildings, serving as an important cultural center of the region and offering insight into local traditions. Trekking duration is about 5–6 hours. Overnight in a lodge.

Day 5. Continuing higher today, you will notice vegetation becoming sparser and the climate cooler. The landscape transitions from subtropical forests to alpine zones. The trail continues along the Budhi Gandaki River, sometimes winding through forests or joining smaller tributaries. Along the way, you may spot various birds and wildlife typical of this area. By midday, we reach Deng, a small village where the remoteness from civilization and the grandeur of the surrounding mountains are strongly felt. Trekking duration is about 5–6 hours. Overnight in a lodge.

Day 6. Today’s trek leads to Namrung, marking a gradual immersion into high-altitude terrain with crystal-clear air and stunning views. The trail passes through several Tibetan villages, each unique and interesting in its own way. The scenery becomes more majestic, with the first real views of Himalayan peaks, including Ganesh Himal and nearby summits. As you approach Namrung, you will feel the air growing cooler and the surroundings more austere. Trekking duration is about 5–6 hours. Overnight in a lodge.

Day 7. The trail continues through several picturesque villages, each offering an opportunity to immerse yourself in local culture. A steady ascent awaits, with surrounding peaks drawing ever closer. We pass through Lho, a large Tibetan village where traditional architecture, including ancient monasteries and houses, can be seen. In Lho, you will feel like part of an ancient civilization that has preserved its traditions for centuries. Trekking duration is about 5 hours. Overnight in a lodge.

Day 8. Today features a short but significant trek to Samagaon at an altitude of 3,520 meters — one of the most well-known villages on the route. Along the way, enjoy views of Manaslu, now dominating the skyline. Samagaon is the heart of the Manaslu Circuit and is home to many cultural sites, including Buddhist monasteries and gompas. It also serves as the base for acclimatization hikes and is the closest village to Manaslu Base Camp. Trekking duration is about 4–5 hours. Overnight in a lodge.

Day 9. Acclimatization day in Samagaon, which is crucial at this altitude for a successful crossing of Larkya La Pass. Optional short hikes include visits to Pungyen Gompa Monastery or the beautiful glacial Birendra Lake. This is also a great opportunity to rest and regain strength before the upcoming high-altitude days. The acclimatization day allows time to explore local sights and enjoy magnificent views of Manaslu. Overnight in a lodge.

Day 10. The trek to Samdo follows an open valley surrounded by snow-covered peaks. You will cross several rivers via suspension bridges and continue toward the Tibetan border. Samdo is a village where residents maintain a traditional semi-nomadic lifestyle, preserving ancient Tibetan customs. Here, you will truly feel the remoteness and isolation from modern civilization. The day ends with rest in this small but atmospheric place. Trekking duration is about 4–5 hours. Overnight in a lodge.

Day 11. This day is dedicated to preparation for crossing Larkya La Pass. The trek to Dharamsala (Larkya Phedi) is short but important, as you ascend above 4,000 meters. The trail passes through alpine meadows and pastures where yaks and other animals can be seen. Larkya Phedi serves as the base camp before the pass, where you will rest and spend the night ahead of a long and demanding day. Trekking duration is about 4–5 hours. Overnight in a lodge.

Day 12. Today is the most challenging yet the most exciting day of the Manaslu Circuit Trek. Early in the morning, we begin the ascent to Larkya La Pass (5,160 m). Along the way, breathtaking views open up of Manaslu, Himlung Himal, and numerous other Himalayan peaks. At the pass, stunning panoramic views await, followed by a long descent to Bimthang. This day requires good physical fitness and readiness for long sections over rocky trails and glaciated terrain. Trekking duration is about 4–5 hours. Overnight in a lodge.

Day 13. After the demanding crossing yesterday, today will be more relaxed and enjoyable. The descent continues through pine forests, passing villages and rivers. The landscapes soften, and the air becomes warmer. This is a chance to unwind after the intense day on the pass and to appreciate the surrounding nature. Along the way, you will see pastures and rural settlements, offering glimpses into traditional mountain life. Trekking duration is about 4–5 hours. Overnight in a lodge.

Day 14. The final day of the Manaslu Circuit Trek marks the return to civilization. The route follows a river valley, passing villages and small farms. As you descend, the landscapes become greener and denser, and the air warmer and more humid. The trekking portion of the route ends in Besisahar. After completing the trek, you will be transferred back to Kathmandu. Time for rest, souvenir shopping, walks through the city’s historic areas, or simply relaxing at the hotel. In the evening, the whole team will celebrate the successful completion of the trek and share impressions. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 15. Transfer to the airport. Departure home.
