Itinerary of the Mozambique journey

Day 1.

Arrival or assembly in Maputo, a briefing and the natural context of the city.

Day 2.

Maputo National Park: dunes, lakes and game viewing.

Day 3.

Inhaca or the marine reserve depending on the weather; return to Maputo.

Day 4.

The transfer to the Inhambane and Tofo area, with stops along the coast.

Day 5.

A marine day at Tofo with a licensed operator; the trip depends on the ocean.

Day 6.

The transfer to Vilankulo and sunset on the coast.

Day 7.

The Bazaruto archipelago: boat, dunes and snorkelling depending on the weather.

Day 8.

A long but necessary transfer to Gorongosa.

Day 9.

Gorongosa: a full day of game viewing.

Day 10.

Gorongosa: a second game-viewing day in a different ecosystem of the park.

Day 11.

The mountain and community section of Gorongosa, only once access has been confirmed.

Day 12.

The transfer through Chimoio and the Machipanda and Forbes border, finishing in Mutare.
