Zimbabwe: the Eastern Highlands, Mana Pools, Matobo and Victoria Falls

This route is not limited to the falls: it takes in the mountains of the east, the walking and canoe component of Mana Pools, the granite country of Matobo and two days in Hwange.

A guaranteed Mountain Guide group departure is scheduled. The route is published in a working edition. The price and the exact composition of services will be added once the accommodation, the permits and the local team have been confirmed.

Day 1.

The group assembles in Mutare, the Eastern Highlands and a briefing.

Day 2.

Nyanga: waterfalls, viewpoints and a short trek.

Day 3.

Chimanimani: a full walking day with a local guide.

Day 4.

The transfer towards Harare and the northern corridor, with natural stops.

Day 5.

The transfer to Mana Pools, check-in and an evening game drive.

Day 6.

Mana Pools: a walking safari with an armed ranger.

Day 7.

Mana Pools: canoeing or a second game-viewing day, depending on the water level.

Day 8.

A long positioning transfer to Great Zimbabwe.

Day 9.

Great Zimbabwe and the transfer to Matobo.

Day 10.

Matobo: granite landscapes, a trek and rhino tracking with a ranger.

Day 11.

The transfer to Hwange and an evening game drive.

Day 12.

Hwange: a full day of game viewing.

Day 13.

Hwange: a morning game drive and the transfer to Victoria Falls.

Day 14.

Victoria Falls from the Zimbabwean side; the end of the trip.
